MOORE, Oklahoma-- Parents of a Moore elementary student are fighting to have their child participate in the 6th grade graduation ceremony.

Daphne Thomas had to take her daughter out of Plaza Towers Elementary four weeks before school was out because she said she was being bullied on a daily basis.

Her daughter Alyssa has been at the school since Pre-K and said her daughter is an excellent student.

Thomas has been told by district officials that her daughter is not allowed to go through the graduation ceremony but would not give her a reason why.

The Moore School District Superintendent would not comment on why Alyssa can't participate in graduation, only that it is a confidential student matter.

Thomas said she just wants her daughter to be rewarded for her years of hard work at the school.
