Prominent Lawton Resident, Husband Found Dead In Apparent Murder-Suicide

LAWTON, Oklahoma -- Lawton police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide after the Chamber of Commerce president and her husband were found dead in their home Monday.

Co-workers became worried when Shelia Lee did not show up at the chamber for work Monday morning. Police said Lee's daughter went to check on her and found Lee's body in a pool of blood in her home.

Emergency workers found Lee's husband, James, dead in another part of the house.

Police said both had been shot to death but have not detailed the events leading up to the deaths.
