OKLAHOMA CITY -- American Airlines has launched non-stop flights from Will Rogers World Airport to Los Angeles International Airport.
The airline celebrated the new flights Tuesday, April 5, with a Hollywood-style event at the American Airlines ticket counter. It included a red carpet, a giant Oscar award, a walk of fame, karaoke and various prizes. A lucky passenger won two roundtrip tickets on American Airlines.
"American Airlines' new nonstop flight to Los Angeles provides another great option for Oklahoma City's traveling public," said Director of Airports Mark Kranenburg. "American's decision to add this new route makes a statement about their confidence in the Oklahoma City market."
Los Angeles is one of the most popular destinations for Oklahoma City travelers.
