MCLOUD, Oklahoma -- A fire in McLoud torched at least 10 acres Saturday near Moccasin Trail and S. Range.
Firefighters were able to contain it in a ditch and say the winds worked in their favor, pushing the fire out of the trees and making it easier to get to.
No homes were in danger, but one person was treated because of the heat.
"There has been some heat exhaustion and that's been firefighters, one firefighter," said Sgt. Todd Beesley, with the Kickapoo Tribal Police.
Five or six different departments helped battle the fire which was contained Saturday night.
