MANGUM, Oklahoma -- Authorities are investigating the death of a woman found along a river in rural Kiowa County about 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Investigators said Lorhetta Sue Ketchersid, 55, did not show up for work Tuesday and had not contacted anyone. Worried friends and family began searching for Ketchersid and found her body on her property.
OSBI investigators named Joseph Dhayer, 44, as a person of interest in Ketchersid's murder.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers located Dhayer around noon Wednesday and attempted to pull him over at an intersection in Mangum. Dhayer then immediately shot and killed himself.
Investigators said they are continuing to investigate Ketchersid's murder.
