OKLAHOMA CITY -- Police arrested a man for getting into a fight with a barber over the price of his services.
Oklahoma City Police were called to EJ's barber shop on Thursday, March 24, in reference to a disturbance at the business. When they arrived they found Juvonnie Varner bleeding from a cut on the back of his head.
According to police reports, Varner went into the shop, asked about the price of a haircut, and agreed. After his haircut, he asked for and was given a shave. When the barber told Varner the total would be $20 for both services, Varner became angry and began to argue with the barber.
The owner of the shop then became involved and told Varner to pay the bill and leave. Varner refused, according to police records. Witnesses at the shop say that Varner and the owner started fighting, and that's when Varner hit his head on chair and then the ground. Witness say he also kicked in the front door.
Varner was treated at a local hospital and cited for destruction of property.
