NORMAN, Oklahoma -- A 42-year-old Oklahoma City man is under arrest after a car chase that came to a "dirty" end.
Oklahoma City police said they tried to pull over Ned Snow, Junior late Thursday night in south Oklahoma City, but he took off. Police said Snow was wanted on a warrant for assault with a dangerous weapon.
"He initially pulled over like he was going to stop, and then he decided he didn't want to go to jail, apparently," Lt. Bill Patten with the Oklahoma City Police Department said.
Officers said Snow led them on a chase down Interstate 35 through Oklahoma City, Moore and Norman. However, when he exited off the highway, he went off road near the bridge that's under construction on Rock Creek Road.
When Snow reached the bridge, a huge pile of dirt forced him to stop his truck, and that's when police arrested him.
Snow is in the Oklahoma County jail on a $75,000 bond. Police said Snow has a history of violence.
