OKLAHOMA CITY -- One homeless shelter in Oklahoma City embraced the spirit of Thanksgiving with a full house.
About 800 people gathered together for Thanksgiving lunch at the City Rescue Mission, but it wasn't just the homeless eating at the shelter. About 360 volunteers and their families dropped their turkey plans to have lunch with the homeless.
"To be able sit across the table from them and be thankful together is an amazing experience for all of these volunteers that are down here today," said Tom Jones, with City Rescue Mission.
Organizers were delighted with the packed house.
