OKLAHOMA CITY -- News 9 broadcasted its first newscast in high definition Sunday night, featuring a new logo and new marketing campaign.
Griffin Communications, L.L.C., parent company of KWTV/News 9 and KOTV/News On 6 in Tulsa, launched the marketing campaign, which reinforces its "Oklahoma's Own" promise to news consumers across the state.
As part of this launch, News 9 introduced a new graphics look, including a new logo and branding for all news related products.
"With the rapid and ongoing acceleration of new technologies, coupled with recent consumer feedback and the growing need to deliver news and content beyond the traditional TV news viewing experience, we felt the time was right to bring all of our Oklahoma based news products under one cohesive brand and remind Oklahomans we are here to serve their changing news needs," said David Griffin, President & CEO of Griffin Communications.
"We also recognize people's appetite for the best viewing experience possible and have made the necessary technology investment to introduce high definition viewing in Oklahoma City, with plans to do the same in Tulsa," Griffin said.
