Family Escapes Midwest City House Fire

MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma -- A family in Midwest City is safe after a late night house fire.

Crews were called to the scene near Reno Avenue and Air Depot at about 11 p.m. Firefighters said there were heavy flames in the garage and the attic.

Fortunately, by the time firefighters arrived, the family was already outside.

The father and both children were treated for smoke inhalation, according to firefighters.

The exact cause of the fire is unknown.

A fund has been set up at First National Bank in Midwest City 2911 S. Air Depot on the corner of 29th & Air Depot under the Callen Family Fund.
