MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma – Midwest City police are searching for a man who struck a 28-year-old in the chest with a butcher knife.
At about 11 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a stabbing at a home on E. Coe Drive. Officers found the victim, Arjuna Whitehead, bleeding heavily from a wound in his chest.
Whitehead and the suspect, Jonathan Siders, live together along with a few others.
Whitehead said Siders came into his room and demanded he return a play station game console and jewelry. Then Siders hit Whitehead in the head with a wooden stick, causing a large gash in his forehead, the victim told police.
Whitehead followed Siders out in the living room and before leaving the house, Siders grabbed a "Ginsu" butcher knife and threw it at Whitehead, striking him in the upper left chest.
"Apparently there were knives and swords all over the house which allowed easy access to a weapon," said Midwest City Police Chief Brandon Clabes.
The victim was taken to an area hospital. He is in good condition.
Siders, who is described as a white male, 6' and 165 pounds with dark brown hair, left the home in a red car.
If you have any information as to Siders' whereabouts, please contact the Midwest City Police Department at (405) 739-1306.
