DEL CITY, Oklahoma -- Buses in the Mid-Del School district are carrying new technology along with thousands of students.
Every bus now has a GPS tracking system that can pinpoint their location at all times. The district has also added video cameras to each bus.
District spokeswoman Stacey Boyer said the new technology will help the district keep students safe as they're being transported to and from school.
"In keeping with our new mission of being safe, challenged and ready, we're excited about the addition of the new GPS systems and cameras to our buses," Boyer said.
The Mid-Del district also added new radio equipment to all the buses in its fleet.
