OKLAHOMA CITY -- Testimony is set to resume in the sexual battery trial of the former chief investigator for the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Attorneys gave their opening statements Monday in the trial of Kevin Rowland after they seated a 12-member jury that will decide Rowland's guilt or innocence on the sexual battery charge. The alleged victim in the case, a former male investigator that Rowland supervised at the agency, is scheduled to testify Tuesday.
Rowland is accused of touching the investigator's nipple and twisting it while they were at a restaurant eating lunch in December 2007. Prosecutors say Rowland touched the man while making a sexually explicit remark to him.
The investigator did not report the incident at the time but disclosed it during a subsequent investigation.
