Enid Beating Victim Dies

ENID, Oklahoma – A man who was severely beaten in Enid has died from his injuries.

Patrick Downie, 44, Enid, died Monday. Downie was injured in an attack on March 31.

Police said they called to an Enid home on March 31 after a woman reported that a man had been beaten in front of her home.

Johnny Carson, 54, and Andre Ramone Gissandander, 40, both of Enid, were arrested on complaints of aggravated battery in connection to the beating.

Police said the Garfield County district attorney will review the case to see if the battery charges will be changed due to Downie's death.
