THACKERVILLE, Oklahoma – The Heartland Flyer Amtrak train collided with a car this morning near the Oklahoma-Texas border.
Amtrak spokesman Marc Magliari said the train stuck a car at about 11:15 a.m. near Thackerville in southern Oklahoma. About 90 people were on board the southbound train, but no injuries were reported. Magliari says the train was in route from Oklahoma City to Fort Worth, Texas.
The train will be delayed while police investigate the crash. Magliari says the train delay is not expected to delay the return trip to Oklahoma City later Thursday.
The Heartland Flyer provides service between Oklahoma City and Fort Worth.
