OKLAHOMA CITY -- A high-profile murder case could be delayed because of recent problems at the State Medical Examiner's Officer.
Police found Dwight Morgan, better known as Edmond's "Bicycle Bob," dead in October. Three suspects were arrested in connection with Morgan's murder, but their preliminary hearing will likely be delayed because of backlog at the M.E.'s office.
In the last month the M.E.'s office has lost two pathologists including Dr. Collie Trant, who was fired. When Trant was fired, Oklahoma County Assistant D.A. Scott Rowland said he learned Dwight Morgan's autopsy was incomplete. The M.E.'s office said another pathologist took over the case.
A final decision on postponing the hearing could be made by the end of the week.
