OCCC Hosts Job and Health Fair, March 3

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Within the last year, Oklahoma set a new record for unemployment benefits as the number of unemployed workers soared. OCCC is hoping to ease the burden those on the job hunt.

The OCCC Job Fair and Health Job Fair will be Wednesday, March 3 in the College Union. Individuals seeking general employment can attend anytime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Those seeking employment in health professions should attend between noon and 6 p.m.

The following companies have signed up to attend the fair on campus so far, but more are expected:

City National Bank

Tinker Credit Union

Bank of Oklahoma

HealthCare Innovations

Woodmen of the World-Financial

Health Employers:

OU Medical Center

Comanche County Memorial Hospital

To place yourself above the competition, it's important to remember a few easy and professional tips when attending a job fair:

• Dress professionally

• Bring several copies of your resume (proofed and updated)

• Review standard interview questions and formulate your responses

• Obtain the list of companies before attending the fair
