Democrat Jim Priest to Run for Attorney General

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Democrat Jim Priest hopes to replace Drew Edmondson as attorney general.

Priest announced his plan to run for attorney general said this job opportunity is very important to him.

“The most important job of the attorney general is to protect the people,” said Jim Priest. “I intend to protect the people by both prosecution and prevention. We’re going to go after people that are doing wrong, but we’re also going to deal with root issues, root problems.”

Senator Clark Jolley, a Republican from Edmond and Republican Ryan Leonard are also in the running for attorney general.
