OKLAHOMA CITY -- Newsweek has released its list of the top public high schools in the U.S. and nine Oklahoma schools made the list.

Three of the schools are in the Tulsa area, the rest are in the Oklahoma City area.

193.   Harding Charter Prep [Oklahoma City]

462.   Edmond North High School [Edmond]

820.   Norman North High School [Norman]

876.   Edison Prep High School [Tulsa]

904.   Edmond Memorial High School [Edmond]

1019. Jenks High School [Jenks]

1085. Edmond Santa Fe High School [Edmond]

Newsweek originally listed two other schools, Avon Lake High School and Brecksville Broadview Heights High School, as Oklahoma schools on the list, but the schools are actually in Ohio.
