After a work week dominated by winter, this weekend will mark a noticed warm-up that will span all the way into the middle of the work week. The canopy of clouds that has blotted out the sun for days will gradually begin to erode late Sunday, enabling daytime temperatures to reach into the 60s. High pressure and westerly winds in the mid levels of the atmosphere will send temperatures into the 70s and 80s across the state Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
With this type of upper-air pattern, rain chances will remain slim through the week.
