Father Charged with Murder of 5-Month-Old

OKLAHOMA CITY - An Oklahoma City man has been charged with first-degree murder in connection to shaking his 5-month-old, according to Oklahoma City Police Master Sergeant Gary Knight.

Knight said 24-year-old Jason Day was arrested on a child abuse complaint after police interviewed him in connection to being called to the scene of a child in distress, Tuesday, February 3 at about 7 p.m.

The infant, Natalie Michelle Emami, had trauma consistent with severe shaking, according to Knight.

Natalie was then transported to INTEGRIS Baptist Hospital in critical condition. Thursday, police were notified she had died.
