For some of us, high school was a time of bad hairdos and awkward social situations. But for Sam Bradford it was a time to shine, and to develop the skills that have him in position to win his first, and OU's fifth Heisman Trophy.
Bob Wilson, head football coach at Putnam City North High School, said Bradford was a true leader on and off the field during those days.
"Sam's a guy that you coach, but you don't have to over-coach," Wilson said. "What you try to do with good players, is you let them go play, and let them go make decisions. And good players, especially a quarterback, is like your coach on the field."
