Police investigating 'suspicious death'

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City police are looking for answers in what they said is a ‘suspicious death.

Kids stumbled onto a body while on a walk on the southside, police said. Police headed to the apartment complex in the 8100 block of S Western Avenue around 5 p.m. Sunday.

Police aren't sure if this is a murder, but wounds on the body caused them to call out the homicide unit.

"At this point there's limited information. The medical examiner has taken the body, and hopefully they will be able to tell us about how the individual died," Oklahoma City police Lt Randy Wiens said.

Police are still investigating the incident.
