OKLAHOMA CITY - An Oklahoma City couple was arrested after allegedly injuring each other in a fight over a samurai sword, according to a police report released Wednesday.

Randolph Miller, 45, and Kareen Edwards, 46, were arrested last week on complaints of domestic abuse and assault with a dangerous weapon.

Police were called to Randolph's northeast Oklahoma City apartment shortly before midnight Saturday.  The couple had been dating for two weeks and Edwards had several belongings and clothes at the apartment, according to the police report.

Officers said when they arrived the couple appeared to be intoxicated. Miller and Edwards both said they had been attacked by the other. Both were bleeding from cuts in their fingers, the report read.

Officers concluded that the couple was fighting over 3-foot-long ivory-handled samurai sword and injured each other in the process, according to the report.
