Ballet Oklahoma to stand alone

Ballet Oklahoma will not be merging with the Tulsa Ballet. Ballet Oklahoma's Board of Directors rejected a possible merger, Monday.

Instead the board voted in favor of a proposal to reinvent the Oklahoma City-based organization. The group plans on putting on four productions during the 2008-2009 season, but said they must first raise $1.1 million.
