ANADARKO, Okla. (AP) -- A 39-year-old Chickasha man is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Caddo County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Ben K. Hill died at the scene of the crash from massive head and torso industries.
Troopers say the crash occurred when the driver failed to obey a bridge out sign and traveled through a barricade. The vehicle then went airborne for about 78 feet, striking a damaged bridge. The vehicle then fell about 25 feet into a small body of water.
The patrol says it doesn't know when the crash occurred, but the victim's body was discovered at about 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
The driver was pinned in the wreckage before being freed by the Chickasha Fire Department.
Troopers say the victim was wearing a seat belt.
