Are you ready if a storm hit your home?

Is anyone else really tired today?  If you were like me, you were up half the night with the storm!  It's never a good sign when Gary's talking about a tornado and your street shows up on his radar map!  We live about 2 miles from where the tornado hit, so at about 2 am, my husband, 2 dogs, and I hunkered down in the bathroom.  Right then you start to think, if the tornado hit our home, what would we do?  Are we really prepared?  Of course we have homeowner's insurance.. but I have to say, I've never thought of doing an inventory of what's inside my home.  But today, I've started compiling a list of things just in case something happens and I need to prove what I had for insurance purposes.  It takes some time, but it will make things go so much more smoothly if needed.
