Good for Baylor

Long the whipping boy of the Big 12, it is turning out to be a magical year in Waco for the Baylor Bears. Scott Drew's boys now 16-2 and 4-0 in conference play after their epic five-overtime win at Texas A&M on Wednesday night. And though Kim Mulkey personally gives me indigestion, the Lady Bears are also unbeaten in Big 12 play at 5-0 and ranked in the Top Ten.

If I were Baylor I would stand on top of the mountain and beat my chest for awhile. They have been the nerd on the playground...the last selection in the pickup game...the friend you didn't want to invite to your birthday party because he picks his nose but your mom made you because she's friends with his mom (that might have been a reach).

Baylor has been the butt of jokes since the inception of the Big 12. And so I say good for them for sticking it to the big boys. I'm not much of a conference guy, but you can rest assured come March I'll be donning any green I can find in the closet and cheering for Tweety and LaceDarius and Mamadou. Good for Baylor.
