John Q. Porter

John Q. Porter was the superintendent of Oklahoma City Public Schools.

Porter resigned from his position on Jan. 23, 2008.

Porter moved to Oklahoma City from Maryland where he was the deputy superintendent for Montgomery County Public Schools.

He served in Maryland for seven years under Jerry D. Weast.

In 2005, Porter was awarded the school CIO of the Year award from SchoolNet, Inc. and Public CIO Magazine.
