The University of Oklahoma's football team and West Virginia University's football team will meet tonight at the 37th annual Fiesta Bowl in Phoenix.
"They are the team, they are special," said Bill Stewart, head coach for the West Virginia Mountaineers. "We truly believe it's the best team in the country."
NEWS 9 Sports director Dean Blevins and John Holcomb have been in Phoenix all week, keeping track of the bowl activities. The two brought up the question on how well the Sooners will play without key team members like defensive tackle DeMarcus Granger.
Granger was sent home to Oklahoma after being arrested for shoplifting in Phoenix.
"We'll just have to wait and see," said Holcomb.
The game is set 7pm. Catch highlights, commentary and more on the Fiesta Bowl on NEWS 9 at 10 p.m.
