Firefighters worked quickly to gain control of a blaze at a storage facility on the northwest side of the metro, Thursday morning.

Crews were called out to the fire at the U-Stor Self Storage business, located near N. Meridian Avenue and the NW 29th Expressway, just before 8 a.m., after a resident at a nearby apartment complex spotted smoke coming from the facility

According to the OKCFD, the fire started at a building at the back of the complex. The building housed 12 storage units. Firefighters tell News 9 two of those units suffered fire damage and several others suffered smoke damage. However, firefighters managed to salvage much of what was in the units.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
