Police Investigate Shooting In NE Oklahoma City

A woman was shot Sunday afternoon in northeast Oklahoma City, police said.

The shooting happened shortly before 4 p.m. near Martin Luther King Avenue and NE 50.

Investigators think a man and a woman were sitting in the vehicle together when he pulled out a gun. 

The woman was shot in the arm and was taken to a hospital. 

Police detained the shooter near NE 45 and Prospect Avenue, but the suspect suffered a medical episode.

The suspect, whose name has not been released, was taken to a hospital. He is in serious condition, police said.
