Police have arrested a kidnapping suspect in northwest Oklahoma City, Friday afternoon.

An arrest warrant was issued Friday for 35-year-old Mark Stewart, wanted on charges of kidnapping, first-degree burglary and domestic assault and battery after former felony convictions, according to Oklahoma City police.

Officers searched for Stewart at an apartment complex near N.W. 19th and Minnie Ln. With the help of a K9 officer, police located Stewart and took him into custody in the 1900 block of Minnie Ln.

Police said Stewart kidnapped Tyler "Timy" Marie Edens on Thursday in the 1600 block of N.W. 33rd. Police believe Stewart forced his way into the victim’s home where he then assaulted her and forced her into a dark blue, 4-door Toyota Avalon with Oklahoma tag 943-MHG.

Edens was later found alive at a hotel near I-40 and Meridian.
