Agents with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) took down a Mexican cartel cell operating in OKC.
The agency says this cell was trafficking 100 pounds of crystal meth per week, worth $1 million per week. This bust netted 46 pounds as well as a handgun and an air soft rifle that was used for intimidation.
Agents began investigating in mid-January after receiving a tip that an organization was trafficking the meth out of a home near SW 51st St. and Agnew.
During the bust, investigators arrested 23-year-old Daniel Garcia, 26-year-old Jose Luis Bernal Angulo and 18-year-old Daniel Maya.
OBN Spokesman Mark Woodward says agents are working to determine how far up the Mexican drug cartel food chain the three men they arrested go.
