Authorities are investigating after a body was discovered under a bridge over the Canadian River in Norman on Monday.
McClain County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), are looking into the crime, after the body was discovered under the I-35 bridge over the Canadian River.
The bridge is located in between the east and west State Highway 9 exits, just north of Riverwind Casino.
According to the sheriff's office, a man on horseback discovered the body and called authorities around 1:30 p.m.
Investigators say the body is that of a white male, and they believe the body may have been in that location for three to five days. There was no apparent trauma to the body and it has not been identified at this time. The Medical examiner is now in possession of the body and will determine a cause of death.
No other details have been released at this time.
