The attorney for one of the victims of former Oklahoma City police officer Daniel Holtzclaw, has withdrawn as counsel for the victim citing a lack of communication.

Attorney Mark Hammons requested that he be withdrawn from representing Jannie Ligons on Jan. 8. The judge granted that request on Jan. 11.

The application to withdraw stated that Ligons did not communicate with the firm for them to proceed on her behalf. It also stated that Ligons was being represented by an out-of-state attorney.

As of Jan. 11, that new attorney has yet to file an entry of appearance, showing that he is in fact representing Ligons. The judge has ordered Ligons to appear in court with her new attorney by Feb. 11.
