Police are investigating a string of business burglaries in Blanchard and would like to talk to two men, seen in surveillance video, about all four of them.

Investigators said three burglaries happened on Dec. 28 and one on Dec. 30. The Cottage on Main, The Rustic Rose, KT’s Smokehouse and Liquor 62 were all impacted, police told News 9.

At KT’s Smokehouse, security cameras showed the two men spent six minutes in the restaurant early Wednesday morning. In the footage, a rock flies through the door, a man comes through it and goes to pry open the cash register. He spends some time working on getting it open, even though a key is in it. There was a small amount of cash inside, now gone.

Then the man is seen going to the back office, illuminated by the light of a big screen TV showing all the security camera shots. He breaks into a drawer and then leaves the office with two drills.

Soon after, another man enters and minutes later they both leave with a homemade coconut pie, hot links, bacon, a loaf of bread and beer.

“It was nonchalant to them. They just weren’t nervous or scared at all, the way it appeared in the camera,” said owner Kenny Romash.

And the night before, police believe one of the same men broke into Liquor 62. Also caught on camera, he left fingerprints behind while grabbing the change in the cash register. And then he went straight to the Crown Apple bottles on the shelf and took them all before bailing.

Police said two other businesses were hit that night. The Rustic Rose and the Cottage on Main both had to replace broken glass doors. And while police chase down leads, they hope the whole town will be on alert.

“We’re hoping the community can rally together and make sure that they’re watching out for individuals they know don’t belong in businesses or around them late at night and keeping their stuff locked up,” said Officer Brandon Wheeler, Blanchard Police Department.

If you have any information regarding these burglaries, you’re asked to call Blanchard PD at (405) 485-9391.
