It's become an all-too-familiar scene in Oklahoma this month, but once again heavy rains has caused severe flooding, this time in the city of Lawton, Okla. in the southwestern part of the state.
A deluge of rain has poured on the city for hours already Thursday, flooding city streets and, at best stranding some drivers and at worst, ruining the vehicles of those drivers who risk driving onto the roadways-turned-rivers.
Emergency personnel have already been called out to a few high-water rescues due to flooded vehicles. So far there has been no word of any injuries or deaths due to the flooding.
Residents are advised to stay put and not to drive while conditions remain treacherous.
