Oklahoma City officials said recent storms have caused flooding on Lake Stanley Draper, and access to parts of the lake is restricted.
Officials said they are restricting access to the following locations,
· The boat ramp at the Draper marina is accessible, but courtesy docks and gangways are closed.
· Point 1 is closed, and all facilities, including picnic areas, boat ramp, gangways and courtesy docks, are out of service.
· Point 19 road is washed out and will remain closed until repairs can be made.
Restrictions will remain in place until waters subside to safe access levels.
Lake Stanley Draper is nearly one foot over its full capacity of 1191 feet above sea level. The high water level has submerged trees and brush, causing underwater hazards. Boaters should use caution while operating watercraft near the shoreline.
The high water level makes it more important than ever to pay attention to warning signs and staying safe while at the lake, officials said.
