OU's Smallwood Suffers ACL Tear

Oklahoma football coach Bob Stoops confirmed on Monday that wide receiver Jordan Smallwood has suffered a torn ACL.

The redshirt sophomore played in all 13 of OU's games last season and caught three passes for 21 yards in a reserve role. Smallwood will likely miss the Sooners' first game or two next season, that according to OU's football Twitter account.

The Sooners open the season at home against Akron on Sept. 5.
