Emergency crews responded to a reported house explosion in Amber, located in Grady County, Oklahoma, Thursday evening.
Just before 7:30 p.m. emergency crews were called to the scene at Main and Holly. Amber Fire Chief Mike Norman confirms one woman died and another woman was injured in the blast. The injured woman was transported to a local hospital with a broken leg. He said some sort of propane gas leak is to blame.
Norman spoke to News 9 about 30 minutes before it was learned that three children he and everybody feared were in the back of the house at the time of the explosion, somehow made it out.
Dallas Brislane was one of the neighbors who lifted the roof off the woman with the broken leg.
"We tried to lift up I had to crawl underneath and pull her out," said Brislane.
All this happened right across the street from Amber's Police and Fire Departments. Names of those involved most likely will be released Friday.
