One Killed In SW OKC Shooting

One person has been pronounced dead following a shooting in SW OKC late Thursday afternoon.

Emergency crews responded to the shooting in the 3400 block near SW 22nd and Woodward Avenue.

Police arrived on scene just before 4 p.m. Thursday, after a report of two people shot.

Shortly before 5:30 p.m., one of the victims was pronounced dead. 

Police are now investigating the scene as a homicide. The incident is said to have taken place because of an attempted home invasion.
