Two Teens & Two Adults Arrested In Major OKC Burglary Ring

Oklahoma City police arrested four people believed to be behind a major burglary ring.

Three of the four arrested are teenagers.

It was all the talk at the ‘Snip It Kids' hair salon off I-240, which was one of the stores hit overnight.

But while workers conducted business as usual, workers outside boarded up all the doors.

Fortunately, surveillance cameras were rolling when two of the suspects busted their way through the front door.

They headed right for the register, which was empty.

“They were in and out pretty quickly,” said Stephanie Thomas, the manager at the Snip Its Salon.

She was shocked to hear one of the suspects who targeted her store is a 13-year-old girl, not a career criminal.

“I hope she can take this as a lesson learned and realizes how wrong it is and hopefully she can get some better adults to guide her in a different way.

Police also arrested 21-year-old Giavonni Arrezola and 19-year-old Miguel Cuellar along with a 15-year-old boy.

Detectives believe all four are responsible for breaking into these south side Oklahoma City businesses, as well as four Metro PCS stores that were located only a few miles away.

“In a few of the cases they took absolutely nothing, just did damage to the front of the store,” said Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow. “There are other cases where they were able to take property from inside the business. They took things like cell phones, cash drawers, and cash.”

Oklahoma City police said they believe the foursome responsible for a total of 23 break-ins across the metro since Feb. 25.

Stephanie and her stylists said they are just glad police caught the people responsible and brought an end to the crime spree.

“I am so glad they caught them as quickly as they did,” said Stephanie. “That's really good.”

It was actually store surveillance cameras that helped police get a description of the thieves and their car out to other officers.

And it was Moore police who spotted them in their city near N.W. 23rd Street and Nottingham Way and called Oklahoma City to take them away.

Both the 13-year-old and 15-year-old were placed in juvenile custody at the Berry House.

Arrezola and Cuellar were placed behind bars in the Oklahoma County Jail accused of Second Degree Burglary.

They are being held without bond.
