Clear, quiet and cold will sum up the overnight hours as we head into the weekend. Overnight lows will drop to the mid-30's.
If you want to do anything outside this weekend, then Saturday will be your best day. A southwest wind will gust between 15 and 25 miles per hour under sunny skies pushing our temperatures to the low 70's. A cold front will sweep through during the evening allowing for numbers to come crashing down for the second half of our weekend.
Skies become cloudy on Sunday with a gusty northeast wind. Daytime highs will be stuck in the mid-30's. Light precipitation will begin early Sunday afternoon. Initially, we should start out with drizzle in the metro. With temperatures hugging the freezing mark, that means sleet and freezing light rain for central Oklahoma as the evening wears on. This precipitation falls more moderately Sunday night and should end shortly after midnight. Slick roads are likely during this time.
