OKC Man Arrested For His Wife's Shooting Death

Authorities arrested an Oklahoma City man late Monday afternoon for allegedly shooting and killing his wife in their home last week.

Authorities arrested an Oklahoma City man late Monday afternoon for allegedly shooting and killing his wife in their home last week.

Officers said the call first went out as a possible home invasion on Nov. 19 on the 8700 block of N.W. 80th Street.

Police arrived to the home shortly after 3 a.m. to find 33-year-old Kinney Glasson, his wife, 41-year-old Erin Glasson, and their 5-year-old child inside. Police confirmed that Kinney Glasson shot and killed his wife, Erin Glasson.

Kinney Glasson told officers that while they were sleeping, an intruder entered their bedroom. He said he retrieved a pistol and tried to shoot the intruder, but, instead, accidentally shot his wife.

The Medical Examiner's office determined that Erin Glasson's cause of death is internal hemorrhage due to a perforating gunshot wound to the back. Her manner of death is homicide.

Monday afternoon, investigators said they obtained a warrant to arrest Kinney Glasson on a first-degree murder charge. He was arrested at his home and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail.
