Moore police have a juvenile student in custody following an investigation into a bomb threat made against the Moore High School, on Friday.

Moore High School, located at 300 N. Eastern Avenue, was evacuated just before 11:30 a.m. Friday. Sgt. Jeremy Lewis with Moore police told News 9 that someone made a threat against the school. He said it was more than a typical bomb threat. It was more specific.

Students, faculty and staff members were evacuated to the Moore Central Church of Christ. Officers went inside the school building, but they did not found anything suspicious. Some officers searched the school while others investigated the threat.

E. Main was shut down in the area as police investigated the threat. Eastern remains open.

At about 12:30 p.m., Moore police confirmed that they have a juvenile student in custody. The suspect told police he sent an email threat, but it was a hoax. That student's identity has not been released.

Officers remain on the scene, searching the school as a precautionary measure.

School officials announced that school will resume,  and first class will begin after lunch.
