Skies will be partly cloudy and quiet Friday evening with temperatures falling to around 30 degrees Saturday morning. Clouds increase overnight with light precipitation moving in early Saturday. In Oklahoma City, we have a chance of rain briefly mixing in with light sleet and snow. With temperatures warming into the mid-40's in the afternoon, no accumulation is expected. Most of the day and especially evening hours will be dry.
With colder air and a stronger wave of precipitation moving in on Sunday, we have a better chance of a little accumulation. Initially Sunday morning, temperatures will be just warm enough to allow precipitation to fall as a sleet and snow mix. As colder air moves in during the day we will transition over to all snow. Light accumulations are expected. Around an inch of snowfall looks possible for the metro. Snow chances wind down Sunday evening. Stay tuned.
Next week still looks good for a warm-up. Temperatures will be in the upper 40's by Wednesday and the mid-50's by Thursday.
