Just a couple more days of above normal temperatures before the cold takes over. Get out the big coats!
Let's start with today. Today is warm. Highs will be above normal. Low to mid 70s in central and western Oklahoma. Winds will strengthen up to 15 to 25 mph with plenty of sunshine.
Tomorrow looks about the same except a few degrees warmer. Mid to upper 70s for the area tomorrow with strong southwest winds. Again, lots of sunshine.
Monday evening into Monday night, the Arctic front makes its first appearance in northwest Oklahoma. It moves through the rest of the state overnight into Tuesday morning. Check out our forecast wind chills as you head out for the Tuesday morning commute. Definitely big coat weather!
The cold stays with us through the rest of the week into the weekend. Then? A disturbance in the atmosphere may move through and try to produce some light wintry precipitation. Types, amounts, and even chances are still WAY up in the air right now. Long way to go before we can nail down any details. But we'll keep you updated!
