Southmoore High School was the top Central Oklahoma band finishing in the 2014 Oklahoma Bandmasters Association state championships this weekend.
The Southmoore Sabercat Band took fifth with 85.25 points.
The OBA championships for 6A1 and 6A2 took place November 1 at Broken Arrow High School.

Green Country schools swept the competition with Broken Arrow High School finishing in first place followed by Union in second. Owasso took third place, and Jenks High School marching band finished in fourth.
Mustang High School took sixth place honors followed by Edmond Memorial High School in eighth.
The Pride of Broken Arrow, directed by Darrin Davis, took outstanding music performance, outstanding visual performance and outstanding general performance.
