A cold front coming through this evening will bring some welcomed changes to the area in the form of rain and significantly cooler temperatures.
Showers and storms that do form along the front tonight have the potential of becoming strong to severe with the threats being damaging wind and hail. The potential for severe weather lessens after sunset.
The metro will see increasing chances for rain overnight tonight and through Saturday morning.
With the rain moving through Saturday and the wind shifting to the north, our temperatures will fall through the 70s and 60s across the state. With rain chances decreasing Saturday night and clouds hanging around, lows should only fall to the low 60s Sunday morning.
If you have weekend plans, Sunday looks to be your best day. We should be rain free with highs rebounding back to the low and mid 80s.
